If you’re looking for a weekend getaway with the girls for a Bachelorette Party, Door County is one of my favorite options in the Midwest! There’s so much to do so you can tailor your trip to the bride’s favorite activities. It’s for the low-key travelers, the adventure seekers, and the partiers! Really the perfect destination.
The cost here can very greatly but this one’s estimated at $400-$500/person. Is that a shock? The price of the first bachelorette party I went to was too! Now I have some idea of what to expect depending on the bride and location!
Plan Ahead!
Book Lodging Well in Advance
Summer is peak season in Door County. This means it’s the best time of year to go if you want to take advantage of weather, restaurants, and shops. But, it also means that things fill up quickly and hotels and vacation rentals are more expensive!
Sister Bay is a hot spot for bars, restaurants, and fun! Fish Creek or Egg Harbor are better for shopping and close to wineries, breweries, hiking and biking.
Consider Activities that the Bride Likes
Wine tasting? Ghost tour? Beach? Biking? Boating? Hiking? Eating? Spa? Shopping? Fruit picking? Art? Door County has. it. all.
If you’re considering doing a tour of some sort (I.e. kayaking tour, trolley tour, etc.), consider making reservations in advance so you’re ready to go the weekend of the party!
Make Reservations for Lunch and Dinner
Just as you would make a group reservation in a major city, you should also make a reservation in Door County! Again, summer will be crowded, and other seasons will have limited dining options.
